LA Fires Necklace

Although appearing quite hefty, this treasure has got quite a secret! With a vintage brass chain this pendant, which is brass sheet on the back on the front, all of the peices in between are reclaimed paper! That's right, paper that was resined, torn into gradiating sized portions, which were then meticulously burned along each of the edges to give the paper a worn metal look! The pendant itself weights less than 2 ounces! A wonderful experiment, with an unfamiliar process truly created an incredible treasure!

Unique Aspects of this Treasure

Brasses of all types are highly recyclable and can be used over and over again recycled into refined brass and copper products without much degradation.  Brass has long been used as a substitution for gold, although it does not possess all of gold's attributes, brass does have money drawing attributes in common with gold.  Metaphysical properties of brass also include healing and grounding.
